Psionically active characters, Wild Talents or those with the Psionic Mastery skill, are able to perform a differing number of actions using the power of their Will alone. The number of powers available to a character and their strength is dependent upon whether the character is a Wild Talent or a trained Master of the Way.

Wild Talents start out with one ability, but can gain access to others when their reputation increases; the latent ability coming to the surface. Or, at character creation, the player can choose to entirely drop access to one skill in exchange for an additional Wild Talent (the exact nature of the ability determined via the usual random draw).

Masters of the Way have a variety of powers they can call upon, dependent upon their skill code in Psionic Mastery.

The various powers of the Way fall under seven categories of influence: telepathy, telekinesis, astral projection, corporeal projection, mind control, physical control, illusion, sensory enhancement.

Telepathy
The ability to project or read thoughts, feelings, emotions and ideas from one mind to another (generally, from the telepath's mind to/from a target mind). This does not generally entail the ability to control another being's thoughts or mind.

Telekinesis
This is the ability that allows a character to physically move, utilize or alter objects through thought and mental exertion alone.

Astral Projection
With this ability, the character can see, hear, smell or feel things far away, or even travel in a discorporate form to other places or other realms of existance. However, in such a form, the character cannot affect the physical world with their mental body.

Corporeal Projection
Extremely similar to Astral Projection, however, the user physically travels to the desired location and remains there, unless they utilize this ability again to return themselves. Characters with this power may instead be able to send or retrieve other items or beings from one location or realm of existance to another.

Mind Control
Concious control over another's thoughts, emotions, reactions or impluses, or control over one's own mind--such as the ability to increase one's mental prowess--are covered by this power.

Physical Control
Concious control over another's physical actions or impluses, or control over one's own body--such as the ability to alter one's form or appearance--are covered by this power.

Illusion
This enables the character to create and project false images, sounds, smells or tactile feelings, either in another's mind or on a visible scale.

Sensory Enhancement
This power allows the character to increase, decrease or alter their own or another's sensory input, sight, taste, hearing, feeling, smell, pain, pleasure and so on; or it may entail the ability to project their senses into the past or future or gather information not normally available to the five senses.
